Robbie Williams (born Robert Peter Williams on February 13, 1974) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer.
In 1990 Williams' career began as a member of the pop band Take That, which he left in 1995 to begin his solo career, after having sold more than 25 million records with his former bandmates.[1]
After that, he became a very successful music artist with over 53 million albums and 15 million singles sold worldwide[2] over the course of his solo career.[3]
Williams made it to The Guinness Book of World Records when 1.6 million tickets were sold in a single day shortly after he announced his World Tour in 2006.[4]
He has been the recipient of many awards — including more BRIT and ECHO Awards than any other artist in history[5][6]
Williams became the most successful male artist on the United World Chart and third overall just behind Britney Spears and Madonna.[7]
Williams also has been named the third most played artist on British radio over the past 20 years behind Elton John & George Michael.
